Who we are
Placemaking Plus - BFAS+ is a dynamic design agency with a diverse portfolio of architecture, urban design and placemaking projects based in Amsterdam. We focus on housing, retail and public space projects. Placemaking Plus focuses foremost on placemaking, including Place Games according to the principles of Project for Public Spaces (PPS). We are passionate about the many possibilities for public spaces and cooperation between diverse stakeholders. Furthermore Placemaking Plus features extensive experience in the fields of markets, urban development and destination development.

In the Plus of Placemaking Plus we connect the communities’ dreams and desires with other players in the city; such as local entrepreneurs, city or regional departments, developers and brands. Together we form the coalition (Placemanagement Team) making places from ‘Livable to Lovable’.

Who are we looking for
We have an internship position for a motivated and flexible intern in the field of urbanism/ city- and Placemaking. If you want to gain an experience during your study and are willing to learn more about how cities and public spaces can have an impact on peoples experiences, we are looking forward to meeting you.

You will be a part of a small pro-active and driven team. You are eager to learn and are a helping hand during our Place Games and interaction with the community and local stakeholders.

You are
·   Studying in the field of Architecture and Urbanism.
·   Eager and willing to improve your design and graphical skills.
·   Available for 6 months for 32-40 hours.
·   Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign.
·   Knowledge of Revit & Google SketchUp is highly appreciated.
·   Affinity with social media would be a plus.
·   Fluent in Dutch & English
